Invitation for Comment:
The AELS (Architects, Engineers, and Land Surveyors) Board is inviting interested professionals to comment on the draft language for the AELS Guidance Manual.
There are no changes to the statutes or regulations associated with this effort – these documents simply strive to improve the understanding of the existing statutes. There are two sections – one focused on providing a sampling of activities that fall under the definition of land surveying and one clarifying that the “industrial exemption” does not apply to boundary surveys.
Interested parties can share constructive comments here.
The meeting minutes and associated Technical Advisory Group documents are maintained and accessed through Google Docs.
